# Date Places

> Auto-insert completion dates for recipients or envelopes in Power Automate flows

This designates an area within the document to record the date where a [single recipient](#recipient-completed-date) or [all recipients](#envelope-completed-date) completed a document.

You can position Date Places inside a document using either [fixed positions](/docs/integrations/power-automate/places/positioning#fixed-positions) or [placeholders](/docs/integrations/power-automate/places/positioning#placeholders).

## Recipient Completed Date

This designates an area within the document to record the date when the recipient, identified by `recipient_key`, completed their action (for example, signing) within the envelope.

Use the [Add a place: Recipient Completed Date](/docs/integrations/power-automate/actions/add-place-recipient-completed-date) action to add a recipient completed date place to a document within an envelope.

## Envelope Completed Date

This indicates a location within the document to capture the date when the entire envelope was completed, meaning all recipients have completed their actions (for example, signing).

Use the [Add a place: Envelope Completed Date](/docs/integrations/power-automate/actions/add-place-envelope-completed-date) action to add an envelope completed date place to a document within an envelope.
